Techniques, Training, and Practice: 100 hours

Teaching Methodology: 25 hours

Anatomy and Physiology 20 hours

Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, Yoga Teacher Ethics: 30 hours

Practicum: 10 hours

TOTAL HOURS: 200 HOURS

Total minimum contact hours: 180 hours

Total minimum contact hours with Lead Trainer(s): 65 hours

Yoga I for Credit at UWM

If you want to deepen your knowledge of yoga in a small group setting, but aren’t looking for the rigor of a 200 hour training or to teach, I am offering a 7 week, one-credit Yoga I class through UWM’s College of Heath Sciences (Sport and Rec) that will cover:

Asana

Ashtanga (Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga, not the asana practice ascribed to Pattabi Jois)

Koshas

Here is the Course specifics: We meet Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-11:50AM, first class is on November 1.
